Just found out we got TA today!!! I had a feeling we would get it today!!
Looks like we will be leaving the 12th!!!!!!!!!!

**Update**- Well, I was so ecstatic earlier today that I couldn't gather my thoughts!! But yes.. we have our Travel Approval- the final step in our process to bring Asher Fupeng home! In my last post I predicted it would arrive today, and boy was I right!
It's a wonderful highlight to a week that has been filled with sorrow. Just this past Monday, very close friends of ours lost their 19 year old son. It's been a difficult week for our family and friends as we mourn the loss of Kyle. But in the midst of all the grief, we can see God's hand working during this rough time.
Right now, we are waiting for confirmation on our Consulate appointment with the American Embassy in Guangzhou. Once we have that, we can book our flight reservations! It looks like we will tentatively be leaving on Sunday, August 12th and returning home Friday, the 24th. We'll probably meet Asher on the 14th or 15th. That means that in two weeks we will be on our way to China.. I can't believe it!
This week is going to be crazy as I frantically get together everything I will need for the next three weeks. I forgot to mention that I'm leaving this Friday (the 4th) on my missions trip to Haiti. And did I mention that I'll be getting back from Haiti on the 11th? Yep.. and then we're flying out the 12th! So, I'm trying not to freak out about the fact that I'll be leaving right as I get home. But I am! More like stressing out, actually. I have so much to do this week that I don't even know where to start! But, I'm excited. I knew that this was probably what would happen, but it's still so surreal to realize that in two weeks I will home from Haiti and headed to China. And then comes the part where we finally get to meet Asher! There's so much emotion running through me right now that I don't know what to do with myself! =)

That's great news! I hope it's not too much for you Haiti and China! It sounds very emotionally and physically hard! Who is traveling to China? Older boy's tend to attach to Dads and may reject everyone else. Don't be disappointed if this happens. I know you are an old pro, but every adoption is different. I sure hope Asher has a very good transition into your family. I'm so happy your family is adopting an older boy! I pray God blesses every detail of the trip and blesses your way!
OH WOW! I know your head is spinnin! You gotta try and get lots of rest on your flights from Haiti and to China! You are young, you can handle it!

Boy oh boy! You don't read blogs for a week and BAM! I am on hold with the Sprint guy and reading your updates....I am soooo happy for you that I am tearing up!! I hope this guy doesn't think I am crying over my mobile service!!
Asher's sweet little face just makes me smile... this kid has no idea what he is in store for... does he? Not only will he get a mommy and daddy but all the sisters and a big brother!! I can't wait until Gotcha Day!!!!
