Dossier... DONE!!

Well..... the dossier is finally done!!
YAHOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Our wonderful friend Nancy (pictured above with Mom) went to Tallahassee last week and took our documents with her. She then played the "assistant stork" role and had it authenticated and brought it right back to us. (Along with Elena who had been up there for a week-long teen camp.) We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends like her. She was there the night Ian was born, and is now helping out with Asher's "birth." =)

So, we overnighted the dossier to IAAP (our agency) and they'll take care of the Chinese Consulate authentications for us. It should be on it's way to China next week!!!

From there, we'll wait for our Letter of Acceptance (LOA) which is estimated to be taking between 3-4 months now. We're looking at travel in August or possibly September. I'm just praying that somehow we get a miracle and travel in July. I'll be on a missions trip to Haiti August 10-17th, and I'd really hate to miss that or the China trip. Plus, we start school the week after, and I'll be dual-enrolling at the community college.. I'd really hate to miss those first few weeks of classes! It's all in God's hands, so I just have to trust Him that everything is going to work out. (But, it's hard waiting!!)

To celebrate, we added a few more outfits to Asher's growing wardrobe. We haven't bought much for him yet, just because we don't know his exact size and we'll do more shopping once it gets closer to travel time. He really doesn't need much because he'll have all of Ian's hand-me-downs. (But we're still going to be buy him stuff because we don't want him to feel like he has to wear hand-me-downs.)

Sooo.. that's where we're at now. This part of the wait is great and hard at the same time. Great because all we can do is done, but hard because we have to wait.. and wait!!!!

I'm so glad your dossier is done! What a long wait til travel... It must be driving you crazy. I also hope you get to go in July- that would be awesome. Now if we would just get our referral there is a tiny possibility we could travel in July too since Taiwan's process after the referral can be as short as 3 months. We shall see. :)
