Today is Asher's birthday.
Today he turned seven years old.
Today was probably just another ordinary day for him.
Today we celebrated him.
Today he went to bed knowing he doesn't have a mom or dad.
Today we go to bed knowing that soon he'll have both.
Today is just another day down in our wait to bring him home.
Today will be his last birthday in China.
Today will soon be tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that until he won't be waiting anymore and he will be home with his forever family.
It's sad to think he's in China right now, far away from us. But, it brings comfort to know that this will be his last birthday in China.. and soon we'll have him home. We celebrated this special day by singing Happy Birthday to him and having a cake in his honor.
So hang in there buddy.. we'll be there soon!!

Those are great pictures, he'll look back at those pictures and know how loved he was before his family even met him. He's a lucky kid!
Oh how sweet! And I can kind of see him in the pictures by the cake.. he looks so cute!
Just think.. this memory that will be stored and shared with him later, will mean so much.. to know that he was being celebrated thousands of miles away and with people who may not have met yet but love him dearly!!
