Asher is on the phone with Esther, singing "Mama Hao" to her.
"Mama Hao" is a traditional Chinese song that both Asher and Esther learned in their orphanages. You all might remember that this was Esther's favorite song, and she sung it all the time! Here's a link to view a video of Esther singing Mama Hao when we were in China last year. (She seems like such a baby in this video!)
Here are the words of the song, translated into English:
"Only mommy is the best in the world.
When a child has a mommy, she feels treasured.
When she gets in mommy's arms,
there is endless happiness and joy.
When a child does not have a mommy, she is most worried and anxious.
A child without a mommy is like a weed.
Away from mommy's arms,
where can she find happiness?"
